Junova Privacy Policy
Last revised on:
1. Introduction and Scope
Junova, Inc. ("Junova," "we," "us," or "Company") operates a software platform designed to monitor eligible airfare price changes after booking and assist users in obtaining airline-issued credits or refunds where permitted by airline fare rules (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard personal information when you access or use the Junova website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Junova Platform"). This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of Junova's Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Use.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly:
- Identifiers and account information (full legal name, email address, phone number, date of birth, login credentials);
- Travel confirmations and related details you submit (reservation codes, itineraries, passenger names);
- Communications with us (support requests, emails, messages);
- Referral or promotional information you choose to provide.
B. Reservation and Travel Information:
When you submit flight confirmations or authorize access to travel data, we may process details such as airline, flight numbers, routes, dates, fare class, ticket identifiers, passenger information, booking source, and related changes or cancellations.
C. Inbox-Derived Data (Optional):
If you choose to connect an email inbox (including Gmail via Google OAuth) or forward confirmation emails, we access your mailbox only to find airline and travel booking confirmations. Automated systems extract fields needed for the Services (for example, airline, confirmation code, itinerary, fare, and passenger names) and store those fields in your Junova account. We do not use inbox content for advertising, do not sell inbox content, and do not train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models on inbox content.
D. Information We Receive From Third Parties:
We may receive personal information from third parties such as airlines, booking platforms, referral partners, payment processors, analytics providers, and email service providers, including confirmation of refunds or credits, transaction identifiers, and fraud-prevention signals.
E. Payment and Transaction Information:
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). Junova does not store full credit card numbers but may retain payment tokens, transaction identifiers, billing ZIP code, card brand, expiration date, and records necessary for accounting and dispute resolution.
F. Automatically Collected Information:
Technical and usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, cookies, analytics data, timestamps, and interaction logs.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- Monitor eligible flights and attempt to secure airfare savings;
- Verify traveler eligibility and comply with airline requirements;
- Process payments, apply referral credits, and maintain financial records;
- Communicate with you regarding your account, savings events, and support requests;
- Send service-related and promotional communications, subject to your preferences;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity;
- Analyze and improve the Junova Platform using aggregated or de-identified data;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.
4. Inbox Connections and Email Access
Inbox connections are optional. When you connect a mailbox, Junova requests the minimum permissions needed to locate travel confirmation messages and import booking details into your account. Processing is automated. Junova does not read your mailbox for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Services.
Human access to inbox-derived content is limited to cases where you ask for support on a specific message or ticket, where access is needed to investigate abuse or a security issue, where required by law, or where data is aggregated for internal operations in accordance with applicable law. You may revoke inbox access at any time through your email provider or Junova account settings. After revocation, Junova stops accessing new inbox content. Previously extracted travel data may be retained as described in Data Retention, subject to your deletion rights.
5. Google API Services and Limited Use
Junova's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you connect Gmail (or otherwise authorize Google APIs), Junova may access Google user data such as your Google account email address and Gmail message content and metadata needed to identify travel confirmations. Junova uses that Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Junova Platform: importing flight confirmations, monitoring eligible fares, assisting with savings claims, and related account support.
Junova will not:
- Sell Google user data to third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers;
- Use Google user data for serving ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising;
- Use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes;
- Transfer Google user data to third parties except to provide or improve those user-facing features with your consent, for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after obtaining your explicit prior consent; or
- Allow humans to read Google user data except with your affirmative agreement to view specific messages or data, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy and other legal requirements.
You may revoke Junova's access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account permissions page or through Junova account settings. To request deletion of Google user data Junova holds, contact privacy@junova.ai or use the deletion process described in Your Rights below.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type, including account records, travel confirmations, payment records, and communications.
9. Security and Incident Notification
Junova maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including Google user data, in transit and at rest against unauthorized access, use, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. In the event of a security incident involving personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
10. Your Rights and Choices Regarding Your Information
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information. Junova is committed to respecting these rights in accordance with applicable law.
Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request to access, correct, or delete certain personal information we maintain about you, including Google user data obtained through Google APIs and travel details extracted from connected inboxes. We may retain information as required by law or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Where required by law, you may request a copy of certain personal information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from Junova by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those messages or by contacting us directly. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may continue to send you transactional or service-related communications, such as account notices or updates related to your use of the Services.
